Anybody lose a black Rossi ski bag on the highway on Sunday? Picked up off the road about 3 p.m. between Terrace and Onion Lake. It's at the lodge, waiting for owners to claim.
Winter Carnival (sponsored and organized by the Canadian Parents for French from Kitimat and Terrace) will be held at the ski trails on Monday, Feb. 12, from 1-4 p.m. They have tons of outdoor activities for kids and families, all for free! They will be set up in the stadium area in front of the lodge. Everyone welcome to come and experience French culture and fun in the snow. There will be food concession in the lodge.
Meanwhile, the ski trails are in great shape and ready for cross-country skiers! The club's regular trail fees and rental fees apply. The Winter Carnival participants will not be using the trail system.

Picked up in parking lot on Jan. 24: a jack knife/utility tool. Contact Cathy (635-7397) to describe it and claim it.
Also, someone left a partially used booklet of day pass tickets behind a few weeks ago. Waiting for someone to claim them too.
McBike and Sport from Smithers will be setting up their demo tent after the race, if you want to try gear and talk to Peter about everything cross country skiing! Click on the image for a larger view.
Holy smoke! What a season! We’ve been going full tilt since mid-November and no sign of let up.
Many thanks to Dean Bergstrom and Anthony vander Meulen for the terrific grooming that has kept us skiers so happy! And another thank you to Deo Araujo who has volunteered to learn and is making much faster progress than yours truly.
We started adult and family lessons in late December and now Jack Rabbits has begun and every Saturday morning sees an incredibly busy lodge and stadium full of kids, and adults, having a blast!
